Our healthy recipe of the week is a little bit different from the ones we previously posted, but it’s nonetheless essential. As we continue with our healthful journey, we often find ourselves making salads and munching greens, which are made more palatable by our salad dressings. However, we also need to be careful with the ones we buy from the grocery store as commercialized salad dressings often have additives and fattening added into it.

If you are someone who loves eating salads or pasta, our healthy recipe will bring you to make your own dressing called garlic and lemon vinaigrette.

Ingredients for this healthy recipe:

  • 3 cloves of garlic (grated)
  • 1 lemon (juiced)
  • 1 tbls honey
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup of olive oil
  • ¼ cup of cider vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

Preparation of this healthy recipe

All you have to do is mix all your ingredients in a plastic container or a mason jar. Put the lid on tightly and shake well for thirty seconds. You can serve your salad dressing right away, or you may store it in your fridge for a week. If it gets solid, just bring the jar out of the fridge and let it sit under room temperature. Shake well before serving and enjoying this healthy recipe along your favourite salad or pasta.
