Healthy breakfast as part of a balanced diet, keeps you energetic and focused until midday and could prove to help with weight loss

Skipping a healthy breakfast might be an option for people going on a diet, but unfortunately, it’s usually not a successful strategy. As your body has been deprived of food for the longer hours of the night, it – and  more likely your brain -expects to be refueled in the morning. When you skip breakfast, you may feel so hungry by lunch time that you end up eating more than you normally would, which cancels out the skipping breakfast strategy. It may also lead you to choose foods that are not the healthiest choices and increase calories.

Eating a healthy breakfast  can actually be an important part of a weight loss diet. Research studies shows that individuals who eat a healthy breakfast are more likely to maintain a proper weight or even lose excess weight.

Why Do You Need a Healthy Breakfast

Fuel for the brain

A healthy breakfast has been proven to improve your problem solving capabilities, concentration, enhance overall mental performance and even boosts your mood and memory.

Without a healthy breakfast, our metabolism will go into famine mode.

Eating a healthy breakfast tells your body that it is  well fed and does not in need of extra fat storage.

 

What about the cut calories?

Eating healthy breakfast, will give added bonus such as:

  • Improved immune system
  • Good digestion
  • Increased overall energy and body strength.
  • This healthy breakfast knows as the “Amazing Breakfast” was devised by Dr Kousmine who was a renowned Swiss Nutritionist. It was also the breakfast of Miguel Indurain who won 5 “Tour de France”.

Healthy breakfast ingredients:

  • Four tea spoon of light sheep, goat or cow cottage cheese (sheep or goat cottage cheese are healthier)
  • Two tea spoon of Flaxseed or nut oil (cold pressed), flaxsees oil is ideal as it is a good source of omega-3. You can find it in Sainsbury or any health shop.
  • Half lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • One ripe banana or honey
  • One or two tea spoon of freshly ground oil seeds or nuts (flaxseed, sunflower, sesame, almonds nuts or hazelnuts)
  • Two tea spoons of freshly ground wholesome cereals (oats for example)
  • Fruits (except citrus): berries, mangoes, apricot, etc.

To make things simpler, you may use frozen fruits and still benefit from a healthy breakfast.

 

Healthy Breakfast recipe:

  • Mix the cottage cheese with the flaxseed oil until complete integration
  • Grind the oat and add it to the cottage cheese
  • Pour the lemon juice freshly squeezed and mix using a spoon
  • Add the banana or honey and mix. Add the fruits which can be mixed together (you may use frozen fruit or berries)
  • It may take a little  time to prepare this healthy breakfast well worth the investment, as you will not need to eat until midday, which saves a lot of effective time during the morning. You may also have to invest into a grinder (a simple one will do, you can order from amazon from £ 10, although you may want to take a good quality one as some nuts may be harder such as almonds and hazelnuts).

Last but not least, this healthy breakfast is really good!!!
