The Water We Drink

Our body is made of 70% water. Every year, we drink around 1 tonne of water most of it, filtered through our kidneys. Water is an essential component of a healthy you.

Let’s just kick a few generally accepted ideas, which some of them largely used by most water brands to increase their sales.

Water helps us ELIMATE and HYDRATE.

Pr Henry Schroeder, who is a leading authority when it comes to water, declares that we just cannot assimilate minerals from the water.

Non-absorbed minerals clog the system: forget about getting minerals from the water get it from your food and good supplements.

Tap water is NOT safe.

The treatment of tap water eliminates most of the bacteria but leaves heavy metals, pharmaceutical residues (among which hormones), and is full of fluoride. Tap water is a DEADLY COCKTAIL you drink every day, either by the glass, in your soup or worse concentrated in your rice and pasta after the cooking process.

Tap water and most of branded waters do NOT even do their job:

  • a hydrating, eliminating water must have certain characteristics to be bio-available to the body
  • a surface tension close to 45 dynes which is the tension of body liquid
  • a PH 7
  • a certain electrical resistance (ideally 6000 ohms)
  • a redox (opposite of oxidation) of 21 to 23.

Without going too deep into the scientific bit, the bottom line is that tap water and most mineral waters do not have the proper characteristics for their optimum assimilation by the body.

What are the consequences?

Just a few examples:

  • Studies have linked the onset of Alzheimer with aluminium contaminated water
  • Fluoride (which is extremely toxic by the way) could cause bone cancer in boys

A very recent study shows that fluoride in water lowers IQ in children. There are many other related diseases that have been linked to the water we are drinking every day.

A lot more scary facts could be given. My point is that water is the basis of life and you drink it every day so the water you choose to drink now impacts on your aging process on every level. Can you really afford to be careless about it?

With the proper water:
  • Our cells, organs, skin and body are well hydrated
  • Our entire body system functions better; toxins are washed out from our cells.

What solutions do we have?

Bottled water (preferably glass bottles) containing as few minerals as possible. Ideally, and my personal choice is reverse osmosis, which is to date the only truly efficient system ensuring a water that is:

  • pure and does add to our already toxic overload
  • structurally bio-available for the body ensuring an optimum absorption
