An amazing, easy healthy recipe to prepare and cook  seafood dish in this week’s featured healthy recipe. For those who have seafood craving, a body restoring nutrition. The perfect blend of ocean fresh shrimps, lemon and yogurt is now at hand for this healthy recipe. Simply just consider the wellness you can have from this perfectly healthy recipe. It can serve either as an appetizer or as the perfect companion dish to a salad or an invigorating soup. Shrimps are amazingly carbohydrates free. These wonderful crustaceans pack protein, zinc and many cancer fighting elements. One of these anti-oxidants is astaxanthin.(The pink color of cooked shrimps) Add this to the natural nutrition of Vitamin D, Vitamin B3, Iodine and of course fat and carb-free protein – you will have a healthy recipe winner. Weight watchers will also be glad to know Zinc in shrimps helps speed up the body’s metabolic processes. In effect helping us all shed off unwanted pounds.

Ingredients for this healthy recipe:

  • a quarter cup Yogurt based spread
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce  (low sodium)
  • 2 tablespoons of Lemon juice
  • Large shrimps, peeled and deveined
  • 1 teaspoon Low Sodium seafood seasoning
  • half a teaspoon of Paprika
  • 2 tablespoon Parsley or coriander according to your taste (chopped, for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut oil.

Optional, you can add coriander to add a subtle flavour to this healthy recipe.

In a bowl, mix together yogurt, lemon, paprika and worcestershire sauce.  Make sure to mix thoroughly, then set aside. Toss shrimps in seafood seasoning just before you sautee, dusting off excess seasoning Coat a non-stick pan with a little of coconut oil. Heat using medium flame. When hot, sautee the seasoned shrimp for 2 minutes. Add the yogurt mix. Toss shrimps for 3 minutes or until the shrimps are done. Turn off the heat to avoid overcooking and transfer to a serving plate. Top with chopped parsley or coriander. Enjoy!
