You don’t have to go and spend a lot of money for this comforting fall drink! The syrup can even double as a unique topping for ice cream or cupcakes.

Preparation:
In a saucepan over medium heat, dissolve the sugar in 2 cups of water. Add the pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon sticks. Simmer uncovered for 5-8 minutes while whisking occasionally. Remove from heat and set aside to cool. Strain twice through a fine-mesh strainer and store in an airtight glass jar. Refrigerate for a month.
Microwave the milk for a minute or until very hot. Pulse for 20 seconds in a blender for extra frothy mik.
