One of the most terrible diseases of the 21st century is the Ebola Virus. The reality of this deadly and contagious pathogen is worsened by fast travel and continuous exposure to chemicals. Our risk to exposure has increased and the natural immunity of our body has greatly decreased.
Mainstream media is now pushing the need for a manufactured vaccine. What we need to know is there is a wealth of information available. This information will provide us with the capacity to protect us from infection and naturally treat us or our loved ones.
Thomas E. Levy, an eminent Medical Doctor and a Juris Doctor is a strong opponent of using laboratory made vaccines against Ebola. Vaccines already have the potential to cause illness because of the toxins in them. Dr. Levy believes that there are many natural treatment options. Options free from harmful side effects and are very successful against the virus.
One of our most powerful allies versus Ebola is Vitamin C. The Vitamin is a trigger to the medical phenomenon known as the “Fenton reaction”. Viral replication is compromised in this reaction. Your immune system is also boosted making it stronger against harmful pathogens.
Robert F. Cathcart III, MD states; “There is no other substance that singularly does as much to promote increased and strong immune function as vitamin C. “Among many other effects, vitamin C directly stimulates interferon and antibody production, while effectively supercharging the functions of the white blood cells by becoming very concentrated inside those cells.”
In addition Dr. Cathcart proposes that an Ebola virus infection is similar to acute induced scurvy which causes powerful internal bleedings and death of free radicals in the body.
An interesting point is –Vitamin C is a cure for Scurvy.
Based on Dr. Cathcart’s extensive clinical experience, mega doses of oral Vitamin C or ascorbic acid for treatment of Ebola is not feasible since it can cause bowel intolerance.
He recommends intravenous sodium ascorbate (at least 180 grams per 24 hours) as an outstanding alternative.
Garcinia kola, Garcinia afzelii is a natural medium sized tree native to Africa. Traditionally used in African medicine – Garcinia kola , bitter kola or kola nut extract has been found to be very effective against many forms of viruses one of which is Ebola. The seeds are also used as a purgative, anti-parasitic, to treat bronchitis, throat infections, colic, head or chest colds, cough, liver disorders and used for chewing. They boast anti-microbial properties.
Research studies conducted in the 1990s indicated that the extract of this plant benefits Ebola patients by slowing down virus multiplication. The Internet Journal of Pulmonary Medicine in 2008 showed improved lung functions in mice using Garcinia kola extract for a 28 day period. Another study done in the Igbinedion University in Nigeria indicated improved lung function in test subjects were due to dilation in the alveolar ducts and lung sacs and improved the fiber strength of lung tissue. This has been attributed to bitter kola’s high anti-oxidant content.
The most common health use of Garcinia kola is to chew the nuts regularly. The brown, nut-like seeds as the name suggest taste bitter. Dried and made into a powder, the seeds of the bitter kola can be mixed with honey and ginger to make a concoction for common ailments like colds and cough. You can also choose to take Garcinia Kola extract. This is a mixture of the nut with other herbs and taken regularly. They are safe to use since they are commonly used in African traditional hospitality, cultural and social Ceremonies such as naming ceremonies and weddings as a masticatory. The nuts are also used as a hops substitute in beer brewing and spoilage prevention.
A GreenMedInfo report stated that genistein (found in soybeans) and tyrphostin inhibit host cell infection by the Ebola virus. This ground breaking research was published in the journal Archives of Virology.
The report said “In all, these data demonstrate that infection of host cells with the filoviruses MARV [Marburg virus] and EBOV [Ebola virus] and the arenavirus LASV [Lassa virus] is inhibited when cells are pretreated with genistein or tyrphostin AG1478. In both cases, the inhibition was found to be concentration dependent. Although the inhibition of EBOV in cells pre-treated with 100 lM genistein appeared to differ slightly, the addition of increasing concentrations of tyrphostin AG1478 led to a synergistic antiviral effect.”
Furthermore, it has been published that there are a substantial number of individuals, often healthcare workers who treated Ebola patients, who have a symptomless infection when exposed to Ebola virus. This further supports the concept just mentioned that the nutritional status of the exposed individuals is a very important consideration in determining the likelihood of the infection proceeding to severe illness or even death.
